The Gentlemen of Europe

And now for a brief history lesson: Culottes is a word that originated in the French language. Historically, "culottes" referred to the knee-breeches commonly worn by gentlemen of the European upper-classes from the late Middle Ages or Renaissance through the early nineteenth century. (source) Now we are seeing this style of pant pop up everywhere and I think they're perfect for fall. It's the comfort of a maxi dress in a pant. And they're worth a try.

Dorothy Perkins, Plum Crepe Culottes, $44 $27
A great work pant. Picture these with a simple t-strap pump

Anthropologie, Talavera Culottes, $98 $45
Look how cool this girl looks. Don't you want to throw on a silky blouse, sandals and a statement necklace and be like "Oh this? I just threw this on"

Asos, Navy Culottes, $57
So chic! Pockets, wide leg, classic navy.

Forever 21, Woven Pleated Culottes, $24
A great weekend pant with an elastic waistband for those bottomless brunch days.

Do not fear the culottes, they're going to offer comfort, style and a nice variation from your bf jean or pixie pant.

Be fabulous today!
